Post: choosing a paralegal school

Posted by career changer on 12/19/07

Hello, I have been researching different paralegal schools.
I already have a BA. I have found two ABA-approved
certificate programs. One is a graduate level course at a
very good state college that takes a year (actually 9
months with an internship in the summer). It costs about
$12,000. The other one is at a community college. This
one requires a BA or an Associates and costs about $4,000
or $5,000. This looks as though it will take a full year
and also requires an internship. What is the better one?
They seem to be exactly the same except for the cost. I
know graduate credits cost more, but it seems such a huge
difference! Is it okay to go with the community college?
(also appeals to me because it is much closer to my home).

    Thanks for your help!
