Lawyers generally employ paralegals and their work product
is supervised and reviewed by attorneys. Regulation of
paralegals by a Bar Association would only assist employers
in discriminating against qualified individuals based on
their race, social standing, gender, religion and ethnicity.
The only reason that I think regulation would be appropriate
is if we were permitted to handle some of the smaller legal
matters (like uncontested divorce, bankruptcies, and real
estate closing without an attorneys supervision similar to
the way a tax prepare can discus and give advice on tax laws
    to their clients.
