I would explore "hiring" several paralegals in your area. I
would contact several and ask them what do they charge, and
how long they have been in business.
You will get important information about your community's
service fees and your competition.
I would also contact at least 3 lawyers, explaining that
you are considering becoming a paralegal, but want to do
research first to see if you can earn enough to live, ask
for 5 minutes of their time and pose this question: How
much, or what would be the range of hourly income a
paralegal should expect to earn in this community when
hired by an attorney? This will tell you what they would be
willing, or are already paying.
