Ans: Yes, it is not uncommon for people to pass the Patent
Bar before they start law school, and then later submit the
paperwork to change their designation from Patent Agent to
Patent Attorney.

In-house at Google is probably a LONG way off. But passing
the Patent Bar before law school will likely enhance your
opportunities for summer associate positions, and long-term
marketability to law firms.
