Post: Employer interference w/ customer

Posted by mickey younghanz on 12/12/09

I am a commission against draw salesman for a sizeable
lumber co and millwork co. I have a builder/customer I
brought in to our company. I have been selling him
millwork & windows for a few months now. we had another
salesman selling the lumber side untill this week when he
decided to leave the company for another career. The
customer told the company he wanted me to take over on the
lumber as well as the other materials that I sell him. I
have now been told late Friday afternoon that a
representitive of the company contacted my customer and
wanted him to re-think his request to have me as his
lumber salesman. I think the company is trying to
undermine my income potential. Please help me with this. I
am 58 years of age and feel i'm more than capable to do
the job. Obviously the customer feels the same.
