I am an on-site caretaker of an apt bldg. for elderly,
disabled & HC. Two new tenants are trying to cause me
trouble because of situations I have had to deal with,
with them in the past & it was direct instructions from
management in those situations. These two tenants have
gone to other tenants & asked them to write to management,
bad things about me. Some of those tenants, in my opinion,
may not be able to actually write a note or to form the
idea of writing a note. There are many other tenants who
have known me the 3 years I have been here & like most of
the things I have done for the complex & do not think
badly of me. I have no option of retaliation as management
said they have to "investigate" the complaints. One
complaint made to management by one of the two causing me
problems, was that I had been rude to another tenant. I
have never been in close proximity to either of the two or
this tenant I was to have been rude to. I aske the tenant
they claimed I was rude to, if I had been rude to him. His
reply was "no". I have been under great distress over
this, unable to eat, sleep well & in a very depressed
state. Usually I am very upbeat & able to eat too well.
Does anyone have any suggestions? What I am doing is what
my job description tells me to do in taking care of the
building. That is ALL I am suppose to do & what I have
been doing. It's just that I think these two are bent on
getting me fired. My employer tells me not to worry about
it but that has been impossible to accomplish. There are
so many negatives in this type of job when one must make &
keep an old building in shape. In the 3 years I have been
here, I have made a lot of improvements. I also am a
documenter & I sincerely hope you will forgive my spelling
    errors. Thanks for listening.
