    Post: Destroying USPS overnight letter

Posted by Janet Grace on 12/06/06

Help please, I worked onsite at a law firm in a non-legal capacity. I transferred another company. I left a book with personal documents which was important to me. I called the firm & asked that the documents be sent to my home. They were overnighted however signature was required & I was not able to retrieve it given I was at work during business hours. It was returned to the firm as undeliverable. Unfortunately, it had the name of the wrong sender. The wrong sender was handed the package & subsequently destroyed it per people who saw her do it. What can I do? How do I go about bringing this to justice, please, Mind you, we're talking of a LAW FIRM. This "wrong sender" person is also in a non-legal capacity. What can I do. She doesn't answer calls to either myself, my boss. We're all waiting for the package. I would like to sue her personally. I can obtain proof that the package was personally handed directly to her. Please, please advise and thank you.
