Post: My lawyer violated the attorney-client privilege and my righ

Posted by J. Easlet on 1/22/07

My attorney violated my right to privacy by breaking his
oath or ethics or whatever pertaining to the attorney-
client privilege. He blabbed information pertaining to
my defense in a lawsuit to the attorney on the other side.
I've had to warn him previously about being too 'chummy'
with the oposition, but this time he gave up vital
information that the other attorney used by taking it to
the judge overseeing the case. I face censure or possibly
might be tried for a felony as a result. I feel that all
of my rights to privacy have been violated. Is the rule of
law breaking down in the US? People will abandon the idea
of going to attorneys and will begin taking matters into
their own hands if they do not feel that they can trust
    their own counsel.
