Post: Mail Tampering by Spouse & Visiting In-Laws

    Posted by Mike on 2/08/08

I find myself in a hopeless situation. Maybe you can help
    or guide me.

Preamble: The In-Laws have been here from overseas for 8
months. Terrorizing me, controlling my son, wife, and
home. To prevent further turmoil in front of my son - I
have removed myself for about 1 1/2 months to my dads home
40 minutes away. The In-Laws are leaving 3/17 after INS
    interview for green cards.

Privacy Issue: While away I emailed my wife and asked her
to envelope all my mail, and corporation mail (I own an S-
Corp) and forward to my dad's home. So I can catch up on
bills and what not until I return. The package was mailed
overnight 2/7 got today 2/8. Every single letter was
professionally opened carefully not to destroy the
contents at one end with what I would guess was a razor or
cutter of some kind. Mail includes: Personal IRS
statements, Corp Filings, Bank Statements, even bills, and
brokerage statements, and some correspondence. Including
some purchase receipts from corporate vendors. I mean
everything. Nothing was torn, just painstakingly knifed at
    one end.

My wife and I will likely be getting a divorce soon as I
return. As this is one of a litany of issues. I need to
record this violation and prosecute to the fullest extent
    of the law.

What can you tell me? Your thoughts please. We have
always, in the past respected each others privacy. Not
going in her purse, she not going in my wallet. Neither
opening mail addressed to one of use personally. We even
separate our accounts into his business, and her business.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards, and thanks for taking the time to read this
    post.

    Mike
