    Post: workplace mail

Posted by K. McAllister on 5/07/11

Yesterday a private document given to me by a colleague
concerning a student's private special education information
was tampered w/ by someone at my school. The item was place
in a thin, cubby style mail-slot and the teacher who was
originally in receipt of it said she slid it in my mailbox a
short time ago. When I looked in my mailbox, it was
maliciously shredded w/ what appeared to have been a
    letter-opener. I contacted the student's parent and
explained the situation. But I want to know what my rights
are because my school is very Laissez faire about these
matters, and I've expressed issues similar to the school's
    administration, to no avail.
