Tess Having someones baby does not entitle you to any legal rights of the other. If you were legally married you could claim spousal immunity or agency. But it sounds like this is out of wed lock situation. You have no rights to anything at this point. The twins are not born nor has there been any proof he is the father. One of the perils of "shacking up". Learn your lesson and don't repeat the same mistake. The charge of opening mail is a minor charge and doubtful if any jail time will be sought. You have the defence of "Mistake" or "Course of dealings" ie in the past it was implied by him to open all mail in the "Joint Enterprise" Or Common design (ie both living together for common purpose). Child support really is not your right but the states. The state is in charge of Health and Welfare of the twins. They will make sure the proper person contributes to the financial obligation. If you don't go for child support the state will. Also under Black mail. That is making unwarranted demands to omit persuing a legal right (child support once born!) could be used against him. Having an opinion is not against the law. People think you will not be a good mother. Okay that is their opinion. Hmm killing yourself you can not do since you will be killing 2 other innocent lives (twins) If you have these thoughts when you are a soon to be mother you need to find help. The world is not at an end. It is only a beginning of a new chapter in your life. You are the one who has control how the chapter will end....May God be with you Res Ipsa Loquitur On 4/06/07, Tess wrote: > I have a Question. > now If this Person lives with you for more than 6 months and > you are having his kids and you sometimes pay his bills, do you > have any right of opening his mail? > Does He have Any right in saying well If you Get me For > Childsupport i will have you thrown in jail for opening my mail > > But he is not with me and is thinking about running out of state > so i cant get him for it and do i have the right to know where > he is because he is the father of our two unborn twins > > another thing what can i do if that family is lying and saying > stuff about me to the point where i am depressed and i am on the > verg of thinking about killing myself? and they keep saying > stuff to me like "you will never be a good mother!" what can i > do about this? > > >
