I was fired from my company but my boss told me I would
received my one weeks paid vacation. I normally get direct
deposit payday came and no money. I don't know why but I
didn't bother to call anyone about it, not even the store I
was the manager of. Two weeks goes by and I received a call
from my ex assistant. manager. She told me she found a pay
check of mine hidden in a drawer and it was opened. There is
no way some one could have accidentally opened it. The
checks are clearly stated "Payroll" and have a big window
that says the persons name and address. Because I did not
work for the company they should have sent it to my house,
correct? So is that illegal?
