Post: ANS Spinal Cord Stimulator Issues

Has anyone had ANS spinal cord stimular issues? I had the
trial in February, and all went well. I had the SCS
implanted in March. Following this surgery, I would get
horrible surges that were quite painful when I turned it
off. The doctors removed this battery stating it was
defective (which I was told had never happened before).
They put a new battery in during this second surgery in
April. I just went to a follow up appt yesterday, I am
having the painful surges again. The x-rays revealed that
the leads are coming unplugged from the battery and would
require a third surgery to correct (again I was told that
this has never happened before and believed to be another
defective battery). I am planning on going ahead with the
third surgery, but told the doctors involved that if this
new battery failed after the third surgery - I would have
the implant system completely removed. My husband thinks
that we should sue, but the problem is - proving
negligence.
Anyone else having ANS SCS problems and how have you dealt
with the issues?
