Carlos, I appreciate your post. You are not alone! It seems that the
distractors have done little to prevent those who have been wronged by Toyota to
speak up! Just check out my petition to verify this.
Luckily for us, the ones who are doing the personal attacking on this forum and
others like it (past and present) are slipping up. I suppose the haste to
lambast has caused them to make mistakes. I am not the only one to discover
this; actually others alerted me.
I have been contacted by Toyota owners who have been near bankruptcy over a
major "sludge in the engine" problem. I have also heard from one owner whose
stress level was so great after engine sludge hit that his marriage was
impacted! I heard from one woman who was in tears when she found my information
online because finally she had the answer to her questions about Toyota engine
oil sludge. I heard from many very angry Toyota owners who are simply appalled
by Toyota's actions in this sludge debacle. Hundreds, no thousands of Toyota
owners have searched for more information on this matter. This particularly has
been true since "The Complaint Station for Toyota" (a site where over 10,000
Toyota owner posts had been made---most of them about the Toyota sludge problem)
went down suddenly, to the shock of its moderators, after being hacked multiple
times. Toyota owners were linking with engine, oil analysis, and other auto
experts in the field, and the daily dialogue was detailed and revealing!
The "distractors" were desperately trying to convince readers that the issue was
nothing more than "beating a dead horse" while the popularity of the web site was
anything but stagnant!
It is impossible to hide this matter. Toyota vehicle owners continue to come
forward as they seek out answers to explain sludge in relatively low mileage,
properly-maintained Toyotas. Vehicle owners with late model Toyotas...those not
included in the CSP...continue to come forward to describe sludge development in
spite of good maintenance. So, what is really going on?
There is no "dream world" here...well, not beyond the "distractors" head-in-the-
clouds insistence that there is no sludge problem. It reminds me of early 2001
when "Pilot13" on Edmund's Town Hall swooped down to attack my Toyota owner
survey about the Toyota sludge experience. It was claimed that I made the
whole "hoax" up. Really? That's interesting especially in view of the fact that
Automotive News has covered this matter more than once!
So, why are these "distractors" trying so hard to discredit the truth? I don't
know the answer to this question, but I do have my theories. As I think about
it, NONE of the theories have to do with doing what is right by the Toyota
customers. I don't know why the Toyota customers have to endure more frustration
and serious financial responsibility for a malady that has little to with owner
negligence. I suppose the best course of action for a company is to deny
culpability and place the blame squarely on the customers' shoulders.
I think it is only fair for Toyota owners to find out about the
problem...especially when so many never got the infamous letter promised by the
company! Why should these owners be left hanging? Why should this lack of
knowledge cause such financial harm? Further, what about the owners who have no
internet access...the ones who least can afford the repair costs? What is the
company doing for them?
Fair is fair; this is NOT fair. I am sure that others like Carlos will come
forward to corroborate this information.
