Re: Toyota Owners (online) Unite for Resolution: Engine Slu
Posted by Brad Newman on 7/28/07

Sorry Ben if my piece appears to you or others to be one of Ms Blake's loyal followers,
truth be known, I have no idea who she is or what she has written beyond the few inserts
of her's that I observed. My situation is that of factual, 1st handed accounts of what I
feel was a major injustice to myself and the numerous others who have fallen prey to
Toyota's scam. I was at the time that this all transpired looking forward to the 9
payments...and consequently lack of payments in the 9 short months left when I had to
start all back over. You want to talk about disgust??? I am sure however I was not the
only one to feel this way...fortunately for me, I can afford to replace, how about the
other so-called Blake followers who can't, that are left holding the Toyota "snipe bag?"
Things that weren't entered on my piece were also the fact that replacement cost on the
3.0 L engine was in the neighborhood of $10,000. I guess after spending some $33,000 on a
new vehicle and staring at this kind of repair bill possibility after only 49,600 miles,
and the numerous malicious attempts at deceipt on probable cause, I can tell you as I did
Toyota and their sales/service shop, there will never be another Toyota finger entering
my pocket. If expressing my concern to inform others of the possible s-job they MAY get
from purchasing a vehicle which may financially cripple them makes me a "follower" then
so be it. Each of us have a right to our opinions. All I can and will say beyond this is
Caveat Emptor...may the buyer beware, and thank goodness the internet has created a
vehicle to which most all can get accounts on what works, and what doesn't before
purchasing. Incidently, "Consumer Reports" also was used in my decision making on the
vehicle purchase, not Charlene Blake. Neither of the two were used in buying my Nissan.
