Funny that you should post this...I seem to be having a RECURRENT problem
with the sliding door locks! The door locks were replaced once already, but only
after I complained loudly against being blamed for it!!
This time, the driver's side sliding door will not open at all from the outside!! If
this van were to be in an accident, they would have to use the "jaws of life" to
get anyone out! This is totally unacceptable and UNSAFE!!
This is a 1999 Sienna with much less than 100,000 miles on it. This van has
been very well maintained by a Toyota dealership since purchase at the same
dealership.
I shudder to think what might happen to small children or the elderly should
they be TRAPPED inside this Toyota vehicle in an accident or otherwise. What a
way to go!
Please see my petition created in 2003 at http://www.petitiononline.com/
TMC2003/petition.html. Seems THOUSANDS beyond the ones who have been
complaining to Toyota are NOT happy with the problems encountered in their
relatively low mileage Toyota vehicles.
