    I have the similar problem with my 1998 Sienna. I have even
    bigger safety problem: if somebody opens side door from inside
    then the baton gets stack and the door can not be closed, and
    even if you think that it is closed it opens by itself when
    you start to
    move (do not ask me how I found it out).
