Re: ANS Spinal Cord Stimulator Problems
Posted by Kay Williford on 10/02/07

Yes I would like to talk w/ you. I had the same problem along w/ a long &
painfull surgery (6 HOURS!). When the stimulator was turned the tech could
not get the stimulation to work right. He basically gave upaI had EXTREME
pain that came from the back=>ribs=>naval. He looked at me as a nut & that
this had never happened before. He left and said we would try again later.
I was sent home & told a tech from ANS would meet me at home to turn it on
again. NO ONE WOULD COME! While waiting I obtained an infection. (This
must have been done in the OR room seeing I was saran-wrapped on my entire
back since the surgery & nothing could get in later.
I was sent back to have everything removed & hospitilized for about a week.

The surgon blamed me for making up the story & being difficult on purpose.
Now he has put it in my chart that I am a Psych case & will not try again
& is passing this false info to other surgons blocking another trial.
*But, I found this site & read the EXACT SAME EXPERENCES! Now I know it is
IN THEIR HEADS & EGOS & equipment! I was warned by many on this site DO
NOT LET THEM DO IT AGAIN!(maybe a good thing)

I am told scar tissue (from mylograms in the past in that area) was the
problem w/ wire instability. It was recomended to check out a lazer surgon
to have this removed & the pressure taken off the nerves.I called a place
in Florida (I will wait till the weather is better before doing this!)
They told me they have many patients w/ the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCES from
these implants. Their success is 80-95% great!

Please send me your thoughts on my case & what the lawyer is working on.
