I do have an Advanced Bionics Precision Spinal Stimulator. It
is actually a Boston Scientific Stimulator. The Boston company
bought Advanced Bionics. My doctor told me it's the exact same,
just a new name. I had a Medtronic Restore Advanced before this
one and after the Neuro doc implanted it, it worked well for a
while, but then after about 6 months, I got stim in my both legs
and none in my back! I had stimulation in my back at first and
a little less in my legs. Then after less than a year I had no
more in my back and my legs felt like ants. The program guy
couldn't get it in my back at all and my legs were still like
ants. I could turn it down, but it was still uncomfortable.
After talking with my doctor for a while, we decided to take it
out and to make a long story a little shorter we tried the
Advanced Bionics/Boston Scientific Precision. The trial went
really well and the stimulation felt different. One thing too
the Precision stimulator was half the size of the Medtronic! I
have had the Precision for 8 months and it works BETTER than the
day I got it. I asked the doctor why and he explained that the
way it works is completely different from the Medtronic. He
said that like all tech stuff, the newer is usually the most
advanced and while the Medtronic that I had was only 8 year old
technology, it is based on their first stimulator over 30 years
old! The Boston Precision is a 4 year old technology based on
10 year old technology used in ear implants?! I don't know all
this stuff, just ask a doctor who uses it and they can expain
better. Anyway it works and it feels much better, no ants!
    Good luck everyone.

    James
