Post: Medtronics Spinal Cord Stimulator

I have read some of the comments relating to the Medtronics Spinal Cord Stimulator and am suprized so many had the same type shock. I have had surgery at L3, L4, L5, S1 with my bone used for grafting and 6 pedical screws plates and rods the operation was a bit over 10 hours long. So later I opted for the stimulator one in my hip and one under my right arm. I was at our shop one afternoon standing at the front counter when I turned the unit on and the shock I received was so severe it threw me two to three feet of the ground and backwards 11 feet when I hit one of the metal parts shelf and when I came around my sister was already kneeling next to me in tears looking me over as she said it looked like someone had shot me throughthe plate glass windows due to the force I left the floor backward. That hurt so bad and I have never trusted the device since. My doctor did have me come in for an x-ray as he said people who have this happen can crack a bone(s). To date I still have the implant but never use it. Scottie
