Post: Werner Aluminum Ladder Defect/Accident

I recently bought one of these ladders with the brand name
Century at Ace Hardware. It looked exactly like the Werner
and the instructions were identical to the Werner. I called
Century to see what they had to say about the accidents
reported. They said they were unaware of any accidents and
that they were manufacturing the ladder for Werner. They
said the ladder now had steel hinges. I am a little uneasy
about installing it due to the reported accidents.
