Post: Spine Stimulator Battery Pain and Plugging into and outlet

Posted by Rebecca on 7/17/08

I had a ANS Stimulator implanted in January of 2003, that
charged on the outside and it electricuted me and had to
replace it and they put in a different one, they were
supposed to put the same kind back in and they put in a
stronger one that you have to charge into an outlet, and I
have excruciating pain that it is unbearable every since
coming from the side where the battery is. They said that
they pain is from me because I am a small person. And now
they want to take it out. The pain from the battery is a
intense burning sensation. The lead in my back sticks out
and I think that it may be one of the ones that were
recalled but when I call ANS they will not give me the
information on the one I have to find out for sure. I was
wondering if anyone has had these kind of problems or can
    help? Please respond.
