Post: Medtronics stimulator leads

Posted by Tami on 8/17/08

I had a medtronic spinal cord stimulator implant in 2000.
With the difibulator wire recalls, I was wondering has
anyone had to have their stimulator wires replaced due to
cracking and fracturing. Because I have had to have both
my leads replaced in 2 surgeries within 2 months due to
the wires fractured and cracked. The wires were causing
shocking, battery problems, and pain. The unit is fine
now, but directly after the last surgery came
complications and I'm not so good. Tami
