on 10/30/09 my life ended...that is when i had the scs
implant...the trial period is a joke.. they keep you on real
good pain meds for the trial period..oh, but they forget to
document it in your chart(thank god for pharmacy print outs)
so you think it helps a bit..and any relief is good when you
suffer from pain..then they follow up right after surgery to
ask how it feels..well good, your on hospital meds and they
go home with you...now for the first 30 days your fine cause
they tell you the pain your feeling is healing
time..ok..then months start passing and now your stoping the
meds and depending on machine...guess what...pain before is
still there, plus now you have pain in the back, muscle
spasms, and you cant hold your child, dog, glass etc..
because if you turn slightly the wrong way, you drop it not
to mention the wonderful jolt you feel...now, due to trauma
in my back, i have spinal canal stenosis which i did not
have 1 month prior to implant..4 months after implant, i
have moderate to severe stenosis...this machine is
worthless, debilataing and should be taken off the market
(p.s.) some doctors push it for commission..my doctor lost
all my records showing complaints of it and discharged me
from care...i was smart enough to get a letter from him
admitting he lost my last 4 visits...he works closely with
medtronics...your answer is NO it does not help and in most
of us it has made us worse...you take care and if you need
legal help..email me, i have a attorney who is going to bat
for me when no one else would...good luck
