Post: medtronics stimulator

I just recently had the stimulator implanted into my
abdomen. Surgery was Monday 03/02/09. I'm now wondering if
I made a huge mistake as I sit here unable to sleep,
because of pain, and swelling in my abdomen, side, and
back. My abdomen has swollen on the left side to the size
of a large grapefruit, and is very painful. This occurred
next day. I called my Dr., and he ask me to come in and
take a look. You can imagine how painful the car ride was!
He did not however appear too concerned. Here it has been
almost 4 days, and the swelling has not subsided. Should I
be worried? I'm afraid to go back on my plavix. Could this
be a blood clot, and should I be more concerned since the
swelling is an inch larger today? Please help.
