OMG, the same thing just happened to my husband about two weeks
ago. Both bottom hinges snapped off. I wrote the company and they
asked me for pictures and I got an e-mail back today that they are
going to replace the ladder for free and reimburse us $200 for
installing a new one. If there are so many reports of this breaking
why didn't they issue a recall?! This is ridiculous. My husband
broke his leg AND he had just had shoulder surgery and fell 5 feet
to the concrete floor. He could have reinjured himself. This
really ticks me off.
