i had 2 different scs placed. the first the wires broke,
didn't work properly, funny, the trial was better. had a
different one placed. i nearly died from that one. the
doctors didn't know what they were doing and obviously
neither did the rep in the OR. i was in so much
agony....the worst pain i had ever experienced. i finally
ended up so bad, i ended up in a big hospital in the st.
where they found it was placed too close to the brain
stem....not done properly, and i needed a laminectomy of c-
1 and c-2 to remove it. the surgery was extremely
dangerous being where it had to be performed. i could have
lost my life. unfortunately, by the time i found out, the
statute of limitations was over. i am now worse off than i
ever was with severe neck and head pain on top of the rsd
and arm pain i had in the beginning. the doctor involved
also seems to have connections everywhere....so
unfortunately, he used me for a guinea pig, i am suffering
and he gets away with it. he destroyed my life. but what
goes around comes around. he will face his maker and have
to explain his actions. i'm sure i'm not the only one. be
very careful before you do this surgery, as if you think
you cannot be any worse and would do anything for
relief....remember, it CAN be worse!!
