be careful i got my stimulator in april 2009 twice since i have had a fever and put on antibiotics each time the site was sore. two days ago things got really bad i have fever up to 105 and a lumb on the site as big as a baseball. my shirt hurts, i can't lean on it at all. today doctor says it will have to come out if infected but he thinks infection should have shown up within 2-3 week to 2-3 mths after surgery. when i told him about being on antibiotcs twice since then he said that may have made it better but not cleared up the infection completely. you cant get rid of infection conpletely because of it being incased in something. the only thing to do is take it out. i go tomorrow to see him. the pain right now is sooooo bad, don't just let it go talk to dr and make them listen.i will update tomorrow after my apt.
