Post: Airbag not deploying on Ford Expedition

I just totaled my 2003 Ford Expedition by hitting a pole.
The frame totally caved in like an envelope. None of the
airbags went off. My mechanic and paint/body guy could not
believe the damage the car withstood and an airbag did not
go off. I am scared to think what would have happened if I
had been going at a normal or even excessive speed. I have
searched the internet for similar problems and like others
here, I cannot find a reported problem or recall by Ford
Motors. I have always been a fan of my Expedition and this
is the second one I have owned. I don't expect to purchase
another.
