Post: Gorilla ladder model #01-24001-01 4 step

Hello,

I was using a Gorilla ladder model#01-24001-01 - 4 step
light duty step ladder yesterday. While working on a
gutter, this ladder without any prior warning just
collapsed causing me to fall and get injured. I discovered
that the leg had a clean break in it at the first step
where the fastening device is drilled through.I was well
whithin the weight limit of 225 pounds. Clearly, this
product is defective and I was wondering if anyone else
owning this model has had a similar experience?

I spoke with a product defect person at Tricam this
morning and was extremely annoyed by both his questions
and attitude. I got the distinct impression that he was
holding something back when I continued to tell him that
his product was defective;like he already knew it.

I have just started my search to see if others have
experienced the same thing. I'm curious to know if anyone
else is familiar with any recalls/defects of this model?
