I was hurt bad on a 8 ft werner ladder. I owned my own gutter
company and was putting up fascia on a house. when I was
standing on the 3rd wrung down from the top of the ladder taking
measurements when all at once no warnings the right leg just
split from the bottom up to the first wrung and folded over this
ladder was a 300 lb rated and i only weighed 200. It threw me of
backward on to my back and arm causing compound fractures of my
arm and severe back problems. I was in critical condition for
three days. I have had 4 surgeries on my hand and still have two
more to have done but cant get them done because I have no
insurance. I have lost my business,my old car collection trying
to save my house and now they just foreclosed on it I have lost
everything I have worked my but off for and now have nothing and
dont know what to do. this isnt the first ladder that I have had
from them do this I have four ladders of theirs that have either
broke the leg or the rivet supports have broke through or pulled
through like the fiberglass failed. my question is what do we
do? I hired a lawer and he finally came back and said after
almost two years that its a case he cant win now I dont know
what to do but I feal like they should be held reliable
