I have stage 4 RSD for 20 years and i have tried
EVERYTHING. The pain is so bad i had a stimulator put in
2003, and in 2005 it broke.. HMHMH Then i had another in
july 07 and had to be emergently remoived in july 07 and i
wound up in septic shock from MERSA.. After this my RSD
was put into a downward spin and rendered me unable to
walk, so in my desperate times i agreed in october 26,
2009 and guess what on Nov 6 2009 i developed a systematic
rejection resulting in welts that closed my throat and a
month long hospital stay. i am now on a ton of steriods,
gained 50 lbs and am all swollwen. This are wonderful for
pain relief but they defintely need to be thought about.
Of course, the neurosurgeon whom helped me for the last 20
years is pretty much done with me, i am no longer a
success story for him. Anyone who is thinking about the
stimualtor, ask a ton of questions and be prepared. Be
armed with knowledge..
