my wife had a medtronics neurostimulator implanted on jan
20,2010.after having unbelievable success with the test
stim,we decided to go ahead with the permanent stim.with
the test stim she went from over 100 pain meds a week to
almost none.the reps were so astonished they were going to
recommend her to be part of the 'medtronic ambassador
program'.well.....5 days after having the permanent one
installed she lost all function of her lower
extremities.couldnt walk or urinate on her own.pain
management dr sent her to e.r. for ct scan.shows nothing
wrong.5 days in the hospital,numerous testing on her
heart,lungs,etc. nothing was found except that the leads on
her right side had dropped.but,apparentely,this has nothing
to do with her problem...yeah right.shes home now in a
wheelchair.now looking into legal side of this story along
with p.t. at home and home nurses.by the way,medtronic reps
were called from the minute she went into the er until she
left the hospital and never showed up or even returned a
call.shame on medtronics!!!!!
