My husband has had a lot of problems since the stimulator was put
in and removed a year later (after he begged the doctors to remove
it for most of that year). He was dragging his right leg
immediately after surgery. I mentioned it but was told it would
go away. It didn't. About 2 weeks after surgery his right foot
started swelling. Over the course of 6 months the swelling moved
up his right leg. Over the next 6 months the swelling moved to
his left foot and leg. He is in extreme pain constantly. When
the stim was in he could feel shocks even when it was off, even
though the rep told him that was impossible. He started getting
stabs of pain everywhere, even in his eyes. He said it felt like
a knitting needle stabbing him. While he had it in he would get a
shocking sensation in his right leg if his bare skin touched
anything metal. They also said impossible. It still happens even
with it removed. He has gained 50 lbs since all this started
since he can barely walk most days. He has had trouble urinating
since it was put in. He also has bowel problems since. He
describes it as not being constipated but like theres a link
missing inside that makes things move. He was told there was a
support line to call that would let him talk to actual patients to
see if his problems were common. Every time he called the number
it transferred him over and then the line went dead. He never did
get to talk to anyone. Surprise! This stimulator was "sold" on
the premise of getting him off all the pain meds he was on but
he's on twice as many now and still in excruciating pain. Just
last night I watched him lay on the living room floor and cry from
the pain. We would sure be interested in being included in any
lawsuits against this company and product. My email address is
