I had a Neurostimulator installed May 26th 2000. I under
went the first surgery to replace a cover over the lead that
had corrosion. It was February 2008 when the implant then
severely infected completely discharged from my body. It
happened over a 4 year process in which slowly lead wire
after extension bar, and then finally the complete IPG of
the device which was implanted in my hips.
I was seen by many physicans all who were unable to remove
the device at the time due to liablity issues. The pain
associated with this was beyond what one could possible
imagine.
