I am 43 and was on prednisone for thirty years on and off for asthma. I
have had 5 orthopedic surgeries in the last 2 years. Two shoulder, a
fractured hip and two knee. After all of this my knee needs to be
replaced. My other knee is starting to ache and my hip is once again
giving me trouble. I am in pain all the time and have started sitting
out family outings. I was very active and now I can not walk around the
block. The doctors believe it is the prednisone that facilitated all of
my current problems. It is so frustrating as I am too young for these
problems.
