Post: Presnisone Lawsuit
Posted by John C. Racine on 7/30/10
My doctor prescribed me the pill prednisone; I was taking this drug for approximately two years. I was then weaned off of it and that’s when several health problems started to occur. I was having trouble seeing out of my left eye and was diagnosed with cataracts. I lost my site entirely in that eye and then I had started having trouble seeing out of my right eye. I was legally blind for several months until I had surgery to have them removed and have glass inserts put in my eyes to regain my sight. I now no longer have to ability to see up close without the help of reading glasses. At this time I also started feeling sick quite frequently and was diagnosed with diabetes. I am now insulin dependant. Prednisone has ruined the quality of my life. Due to the illnesses prednisone has caused me, I am not able to work as much as I would like to. I am a single father trying to support my daughter through college and I hope that in the near future a lawsuit will come about.
