When I was in the Army I was given Prednisone for about 6 years and I was on it when I went to the nearest VA. Hospital and taken off by the Doctor who seen me at the time. I was given 40mg a day for about 6 years. I took 20mg in the morning and 20mg at night. I was told by the Army doctor that was a Major at the time. His name Lum, as I recall told me that the Prednisone would help me right then while in the service, but it would effect me later in life from its site affects and the one thing me made known and stressed was the joints would be effected. And how right he was, today the pain is so bad, I can't tell no one the full effects it has taken on me. I have my medical records where it showed I was given high dosage of this med. and others. it was suppose to help my breathing, I am a COPD person and seen by the Va. medical staff at the hospital in Jackson, Ms. I hope there is a class action suit on the behalf of all who has taken this drug it is no way to get people to see what it has done to others for the joint pain I was told would come had to be known way back for it was in the 1980-1987 I took this it in the Army, it help me as I took it trusting those who told me what was known about it at that time, but it is nothing good from its site effects.
