Post: Injury from Werner Aluminum stepladder
Posted by Roy Locke on 11/09/10
On 11/6 I attempted a small repair to the roof of my Mobile
Home in Winter Haven, Fl. When I reached the top step the
ladder just collapsed sending me to the ground. I lay
there for a minute trying to catch my breath and my head
bleeding from hitting a concrete step.
After regaining my balance I went in the house and put a
towel on my head to stop the bleeding. I then went to a
neighbor to have him drive me to the emergency room. After
several hours, Xrays, Catscan etc. I returned to see the
two bottom legs of the ladder had just crumbled in like a
toy. This model 366 is rated for 250lbs. I'm only
170lbs. I amp hoping someone can point me in the right
direction for obtaining legal council in this matter. I
have contacted 2 law firms and neither have returned calls.
Since I have no medical coverage i am going to have to pay
this bill out of my own pocket.
