    Post: Medtronic stimulator

    Posted by Jeremy on 2/13/11

I had the medtronic stim put in in april of 2009. prior to
that I was on i cant even remember how many meds just to be
able get up and walk and function. Having this put in was
great at first, but after about a year, seems my leads are
shorting out, and i have to have the unit turned up at
about 9 to 9.5 in order for my pain to be at ease so i can
function. with this being that high it seems my back has
been getting worse and my back muscles tense and tighten up
with in seconds which is very uncomfortable there for i
have to turn it off. on and off, with the short in it with
the setting being so high its like getting hit with a live
wire. i have been trying to find a way to locate money from
some source to go to germany, the STENIM facility to have
the artificial disks inserted. As of now im going to be 39
in 7 months, my doctors have for warned me that i most
likeliy have till im 50 and i wont be able to work anymore.
so if anyone has any info on how or where to obtain help.
please let me know. i have a 4 yr old daughter and 12 yr
old son, my play time is very limited with them, this is my
only option. thanks for listening. keep me posted.
