    Post: Spinal cord stimulator

    Posted by laurie on 6/07/11

I had a spinal cord stimulator from medtronics!!!! After
the implant I started to expereince a fever for two mths
doctors did not do any blood work or any tests just loaded
me up with antibiotics. Along with pain killers would take
ibuprofen 600 and aspirin to lower the fever. Furthermore
as I came out of surgery I could not walk (at first I just
thought it was part of the recuperation process but later
found out that wasn't the case since the stimulation seemed
to have migrated and started to cause excruciating sciatica
pain on my left leg which later migrated to my right too.
The pain in my back was awful that I could not even get up
and walk lost 25 lbs fighting pain (this was supposed to
help with pain). Thus after about two mths and a lot of
antibiotics and continuous fever I found myself to have
CDF. Any ways trying to recuperate not only from the
surgery alone but on top of that had all these other
consequences and complications from the date of its
insertion which the soul purpose of the stimulator wasn't
even for back pain I never had this problem before. Only r
recently was it removed and unfortunately the pain in my
back has not disappeared can anyone give me any advice?
    Thank you!!!!
