I am very sorry to hear about your challenges with the SCS.

I too had the SCS implant (at C2-C3) in July 2010. It appeared to be working
a bit until Dec 2010, when I was standing at a restuarant waiting to purchase
gift card when suddenly I began experiencing severe "electric-like' pain
throughout my arms and legs. I immediately went to car to turn it off. It was
determined 9 months later the connections had come apart.

I had the entire system removed to include the leads in December 2011.
Beginning several weeks following the removal, began all sorts of symptoms
to include the same pain (to a lesser degree) in both arms and legs, which
continues today. In addition to the extremities, I now have facial and scalp
    pain as well.

I need to post my experience for others to beware of possible outcomes.

When a person is experiencing so much pain.....we are willing to try most
    anything to get relief.

Why will your doctor not remove it?

Hope you have more good moments than painful ones.... Kat
