We live on the county line for two counties. There are 5
families that live on this road and 5 property owners. We've
had mulitple problems for years with poachers, tresspassers,
drug users and 4 wheelers, because we are such a rural area.
Both counties have abandoned our road approx. 19 plus years
ago. We do not know how to make our road private, legally,
so I am asking who or what type of lawyer do I need to speak
to? ALl I've been told by the counties are that I would need
to discuss presciptive easement laws with an attorney about
making it private. The counties are all for abandoning us,
but are making me do all the leg work for the legalities. I
thank you for ANY direction you can lead me or any
information you can offer on this situation.
