had home built by national builder 1.5 years ago. Just
recently with heavy rains we found out through our township
that 3/4 of our lot is a detention basin. Water rises to
within a few feet of our foundation. We were never told
about this detention basin. There is even an addendum in
the purchase contract for Storm Water MAnagement Systems,
if they are on your property it would be checked and
thoroughly explained to the buyer. Never checked, never
explained. Is there any recourse, in detention basins you
cant alter the land whatsoever, making it completley
unusable. Any advice?
