    I started in court reporting in 1966. By 1968 they were
    putting in experimental tape recorders in certain lower
    courts and I was convinced that was the end of my short-lived
    career. This past summer was my 40th year in the field and so
    far I haven't been replaced. I wouldn't worry just yet.
