I have been a reporter in Texas for nearly 23 years. It's
not as easy as it used to be to make the "big" bucks.
There's a lot of competition and Congress is always trying
to replace us with tape recorders. As a matter of fact, I'm
in the process of building another business because I fear I
will not be able to retire with this business. I'm only 41,
so I have a few more years in me (I hope). As a mother, I
am encouraging my children to enter the medical or computer
field.
