Audiosync is a part of the Case CATalyst software . . has been
since CC3.

The recording ability of the Mira and Fusion came later. I
believe that using the audiosync feature of the CC software
(which does require realtiming to a PC) provides a better
syncronization of sound to text that does recording via the
writer(s).
