Post: Getting crazy characters when unhooking Mira from laptop.

Help! I am getting a message on my laptop that looks
like when I unhook my Elan Mira A3 from my
laptop to go to a sidebar during trial. The realtime file
on my laptop then freezes up and does not recognize my
steno any longer. One time, however, after 45 minutes of
writing to the "dead file", my steno started to come up
again as I'm writing. It does not include the last 45
minutes of testimony that I wrote. It happens
intermittently. Sometime it works as it is supposed to,
and other times it gives me the crazy characters. It is
not a cable issue. Has anyone else experienced this
problem and do you have any suggestions as to what the
problem might be? Stenograph and Eclipes have never
encountered this problem. Thanks!!!
