What came first, the chicken or the egg? The reason those fields are
held in low esteem is because, traditionally, they don't pay very
well. Teaching still doesn't pay very well. It should be noted,
however, that instead of being forced to increase the wages, the
option of hiring foreigners keeps the wages lower.

I'd consider becoming a high school teacher, but overall I don't think
I'd do any better than I am now and it would also be intellectual and
career suicide. I'm not ready to give up the hopes of being able to
use my intellect to earn income just yet.
There's nothing wrong with bitching incessantly if it is legitimate.
If Americans hadn't bitched back in 1776, if Americans had been on
Prozac and Levipro back in 1776, we'd be calling this land England
right now.

My statements regarding bankruptcy were more in gest and they weren't
made with a high degree of certainty nor did I claim as such. If I
were to ever open a solo practice, I'd probably do family law,
employment law, estate planning, and possibly criminal defense.
However, I did like a recent poster's suggestion of trying to solicit
paralegal bankruptcy mills for bankruptcy litigation work.
