Carol, I commend you for your nursing service, my wife really does care about the preemies
she takes care of and often fields questions from the NICU while at home nights and
weekends. As for me, my engineering career was filled with the usual corporate politics
and Bull**it. I like being able to move around, meet new people, and get a cup of coffee
withhout looking over my shoulder to see who's going to rat me out for taking a break. I
haven't really decided what area to practice specifically in; I find it interesting that
you like criminal defense. As a nurse you must have seen the end results of crimes and
abuse; my wife has had to deal with lowlife crack moms delivering crack babies with
withdrawls, as well as the patched-up victims of crimes. She asks me all the time how I
can defend people like that. I tell her the old addage about everybody is entitled to a
zealous defense; she thinks they're entitled to be taken out back and shot:-) Anyway, you
add much needed optimism to the board; I hope the doom-gloomers don't prevent you from
